WEDDINGS
The Process
Once you contact Studio Plumeyer for information, you can set up a consultation to talk with Michael. This is when you talk with him about what he can do for you, what style you want for your wedding and, of course, the pricing. When you decide you want to go with him, then you sign the contract with all the information put on there from when the wedding is, location of venues and who he reports to. Michael ALWAYS HAS A FEMALE SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER with him. This is important. While he works with the guys, his second (female) photographer works with the bride and her bridesmaids. This ensures that nothing is missed. If you select the option where they're there from beginning until end, that's what they do. After the honeymoon, a time is selected for the happy couple to come in and select the images that will be placed in their album. This process will most likely take more than one sitting due to the high volume of images that are created.
If the couple chooses to have Michael do the engagement & bridal portraiture, then the same process as explained about the wedding images above occurs. Discussing the engagement appointment (session) and can be done in person or via e-mail as can the Bridal Portrait Appointment (session). It is important to note that only images created by Michael will be permitted into the wedding album.
The wedding album / book will take approximately 2 to 3 months for completion after they have been selected. This is due to the high volume of images that will need to be worked on and the design process. Prior to having the album / book sent off to be produced, the bride & groom will receive a pdf proof for approval. Once that is approved, the books should come shortly afterwards.

Weddings
Most little girls grow up planning their weddings, or, at least, that's how it used to be. These days, the wedding scene has change so much since the turn of the century. The advent and low cost of digital photography combined with the smart phones that have cameras plus the revolutionary advent of social media has changed all that. There's also the online image sharing sites such as Pinterest where many a bride gets ideas for not only their weddings, but many decorative ideas as well.
The Way It Was
This has all radically changed not only how wedding were photographed but how weddings were planned from the late 1990s. I'm no dinosaur but I've been around long enough to remember how disposable cameras became the "en vogue" thing for brides to have at their wedding receptions for everyone to take candid photos at the receptions. Today, those disposable cameras have been replaced by smart phones and then the images are either dropboxed to the happy couple or they're just tagged on social media.
A Digital World
This is part of the digital world we live in. Another part of the digital world we live in is the sad trend that people believe that they ONLY NEED digital files. This is so far from the truth. Most people get their digital files on either a CD, DVD or (more likely in recent times) on a flash drive. While, in theory, this is a great idea, it is, sadly, not a very good one. This is just like when the photographer used to give people the "film" from the event. The first and major problem with this is that customer, not the photographer would have to develop the film. Then the customer has no idea how to get them enlarged to 8x10 or larger. Let's not forget about the album, they could buy an album back then but not a very high quality one.
Lost Memories
Today, some people who get the digital files will get them on on a flash drive and then the number one problem that arises is that said flash drive is usually lost before anything can be made from them. IF the customer is lucky, the photographer is still in business and still has their images on their computer so they can make an additional flash drive for the customer. You can go online and build / design books and get prints done from those digital files (if you haven't lost the files) but the color quality won't be the best nor will any kind of book you order online.
The Importance of Prints
You will always be able to find a print. It is nowhere as small as a flash drive and, especially with prints from Studio Plumeyer, the prints will be mounted so they won't bend. All prints from Studio Plumeyer are mounted, gold edged and are retouched (edited) to make you look your best. With weddings, Studio Plumeyer offers only physical books or albums. Digital files are available with some of the higher end wedding collections, though, so if they're a must for you, they are available. Think about this, you can still look at grandparents album and your parents album but if you get digital files, the chances that you'll have an album made that will last as long as their's is very low. You need to find a professional that will offer a wedding album that will be printed for not only a "coolness" factor but also for longevity.
